Terminals of ECM

The standard normal voltage between each pair of the ECM terminals is shown in the table below. The appropriate conditions for checking each pair of the terminals are also indicated. The result of checks should be compared with the standard normal voltage for that pair of the terminals, and displayed in the "Specified Condition" column. The illustration above can be used as a reference to identify the ECM terminal locations.

Removal CHECK FUEL FILTER WARNING LIGHT Check the fuel filter warning light. NOTICE: When the fuel filter warning light illuminates and the buzzer sounds, the water in the fuel filter must be drained immediately.

Common rail 2AD-FHV

Fuel supply pump 2AD-FHV

DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

Fuel injector 2AD-FHV

Detach the 4 clips and remove the engine cover. INSPECT INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Disconnect the injector connector. Measure the resistance.

2AD-FHV Repair valve seat

REPAIR INTAKE VALVE SEAT NOTICE: Keep the lip free from foreign matter. If the seating is too high on the valve face, use 30° and 45° cutters to correct the seat.

Engine unit 2AD-FHV Replacement

Engine unit 2AD-FHV Replacement 1. REPLACE CONNECTING ROD SMALL END BUSH Using SST and a press, push out the bush. Using a round file, lightly file off any roughness from the small end of the connecting rod. Attach a new bush to SST with the ball of SST inside the oil hole of the bush.
