DTC B1630/23 Rear Airbag Sensor RH Circuit Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The rear airbag sensor RH circuit consists of the center airbag sensor assembly, side airbag sensor RH, door side airbag sensor RH* and rear airbag sensor RH.
The side airbag sensor RH, door side airbag sensor RH* and rear airbag sensor RH detect impacts to the vehicle and send signals to the center airbag sensor assembly to determine if the airbags should be deployed.
DTC B1630/23 is recorded when a malfunction is detected in the rear airbag sensor RH circuit.

2.CHECK CONNECTORS
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

  1. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the side airbag sensor RH, door side airbag sensor RH and rear airbag sensor RH. Also check that the connectors that link the No. 2 floor wire and front door wire RH are properly connected.

    OK:
    The connectors are properly connected.
    HINT:
    If the connectors are not connected securely, reconnect the connectors and proceed to the next inspection.
  1. Disconnect the connectors from the side airbag sensor RH, door side airbag sensor RH and rear airbag sensor RH. Also disconnect the connectors that link the No. 2 floor wire and front door wire RH.

  1. Check that the terminals of the connectors are not damaged.

    OK:
    The terminals are not deformed or damaged.
