INSPECT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY

DESCRIPTION

1. When the ignition switch is ON, the front power window regulator motor assembly RH (for LHD) or front power window regulator motor assembly LH (for RHD) is operated by the power window regulator switch assembly. The front power window regulator motor assembly RH (for LHD) or front power window regulator motor assembly LH (for RHD) has motor, regulator and ECU functions.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

1. The power window control system uses the LIN communication system. Inspect the communication function by following How to Proceed with Troubleshooting. Troubleshoot the power window control system after confirming that the communication system is functioning properly (LandCruiser RM000000PY206VX.html).
   
2. If the front power window regulator motor assembly RH (for LHD) or front power window regulator motor assembly LH (for RHD) has been replaced with a new one, initialize the power window control system (LandCruiser RM0000011V20BLX.html).
   
3. Check that the window lock switch is off before performing the following procedure.
   
4. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following procedure.
   

1. Read the Data List according to the display on the GTS (LandCruiser RM0000027QL04NX.html).

   OK:

   On the GTS screen, ON or OFF is displayed accordingly.
   

1. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the GTS (LandCruiser RM0000027QL04NX.html).
   

   CAUTION:

   Be careful to avoid injuries as this test causes vehicle parts to move. During the Active Test, the jam protection function will not operate.

1. Remove the power window regulator switch assembly (LandCruiser RM000002STU0ASX.html).
   

2. Inspect the power window regulator switch assembly (LandCruiser RM000002R1J06VX.html).
   

1. Disconnect the J1 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
   

2. Disconnect the J7 front power window regulator motor assembly RH connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   J1-6 (UP) - J7-10 (UP)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J1-7 (DOWN) - J7-7 (DOWN)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   J1-6 (UP) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher
   J1-7 (DOWN) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

1. Disconnect the K10 power window regulator switch assembly connector.
   

2. Disconnect the K7 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:
