DTC B2768 Tilt Sensor Internal Circuit Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when one of the following occurs: 1) a yaw rate sensor assembly power supply malfunction; 2) a yaw rate sensor assembly open malfunction; or 3) an EEPROM malfunction.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  2. When replacing the yaw rate sensor assembly, perform zero point calibration.

    Vehicle stability control system (for Vacuum Brake Booster) (LandCruiser RM000000XHR0BKX.html).
1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (YAW RATE SENSOR - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

  1. Disconnect the G52 sensor connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection

    G52-1 (GND) - Body ground
    Always
    Below 1 Ω
  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    Switch Condition
    Specified Condition
    G52-6 (+B) - Body ground

    11 to 14 V
    G52-4 (IG) - Body ground
    Ignition switch ON
    11 to 14 V

2.CHECK FOR DTC
  1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000012QC017X.html).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and then off.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to the armed state (LandCruiser RM000000W0L04UX.html).

  1. Check that the security indicator light changes from illuminated to flashing.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to the disarmed state (LandCruiser RM000000W0L04UX.html).

  1. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000012QC017X.html).

    OK:
    DTC B2768 is not output.


NG
Go to step 3
OK

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (LandCruiser RM000003YMJ00XX.html)

3.REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY
  1. Temporarily replace the yaw rate sensor assembly with a new or normally functioning one (LandCruiser RM000000SS507KX.html).

4.CHECK FOR DTC
  1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000012QC017X.html).

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON, and then off.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to the armed state (LandCruiser RM000000W0L04UX.html).

  1. Check that the security indicator light changes from illuminated to flashing.

  1. Set the theft deterrent system to the disarmed state (LandCruiser RM000000W0L04UX.html).

  1. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000012QC017X.html).

    OK:
    DTC B2768 is not output.
