Park / Neutral Position Switch Removal
Drivetrain. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200
REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE NO. 3 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR
DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY
REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY |

2. REMOVE NO. 3 FRONT FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR |
Remove the 4 nuts and No. 3 front floor heat insulator.
3. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY |
Remove the clip and pin, and disconnect the floor shift gear shifting rod sub-assembly from the transmission control shaft lever.
4. REMOVE PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY |
Disconnect the switch connector.
Remove the nut, spring washer and transmission control shaft lever.
Remove the bush from the transmission control shaft lever.
Remove the No. 1 floor shift bush from the transmission control shaft lever.
Using a screwdriver, bend the tabs of the lock washer.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Remove the lock nut and lock washer.
Remove the 2 bolts and park/neutral position switch assembly.
- HINT:
- Make sure that the manual valve lever shaft has not been rotated prior to installing the park/neutral position switch assembly as the detent spring may become detached from the manual valve lever shaft.
