DTC B1585 USB Device Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when a malfunction occurs in a connected device.

Either condition is met.
  1. Non mass-storage class or incompatible protocol USB device.
  2. USB device with an incompatible file system, corrupted or incompatible File Allocation Table (FAT).
  3. "iPod" malfunction.
  4. "iPod" with unsupported firmware.
  5. Unsupported "iPod" model.
  1. USB device or "iPod"
  2. Radio and display receiver assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:
  1. For vehicles equipped with an Extension Module, refer to optional equipment's manuals.
  2. After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs.
1.REPLACE USB DEVICE OR "iPod"
  1. Disconnect the USB device or "iPod" from the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    HINT:
    When this DTC has been stored, it is necessary to turn off the power switch to make it possible for the vehicle to recognize a new device when it is connected.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

  1. Connect a known good USB device or "iPod" to the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly.

    HINT:
    1. If the malfunction occurred when a USB device was in use, use another USB device for the inspection. If the malfunction occurred when an "iPod" was in use, use another "iPod" for the inspection.
    2. Refer to System Description for compatible formats and versions (HILUX_TGN26 RM000003YVK017X.html).

2.CHECK FOR DTC
  1. Clear the DTCs (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000011BU0J0X.html).

  1. Check for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

    HINT:
    If DTCs are stored frequently, replace the radio and display receiver assembly.
    OK:
    No DTC is output.
