DESCRIPTION
To detect atmospheric pressure, the built-in atmospheric pressure sensor in the ECM is used for the common rail system. Following the changes in the atmospheric pressure, the ECM corrects the fuel injection volume, timing and duration, and adjusts the common rail internal fuel pressure in order to optimize engine combustion.| DTC No. | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
- NOTICE:
- After replacing the ECM, the new ECM needs registration (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000012XK05AX.html) and initialization (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000TIN058X.html).
- HINT:
- Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.
- Result:
Display (DTC Output) Proceed to P2226, P2228 or P2229 A P2226, P2228 or P2229 and other DTCs B
- HINT:
- If any DTCs other than P2226, P2228 and P2229 are output, troubleshoot those DTCs first.
