DESCRIPTION
The ECM reduces injector operation speed and applied voltage to the injector to reduce the sound it produces during idling. To do this, the ECM outputs applied voltage switching signals to terminal IJEN of the injector driver from terminal IDLO of the ECM.P1626DTC Detection Drive Pattern

Warm up the engine and idle it for 5 seconds
| With the engine running at idle, voltage of the ECM IDLO terminal is 0.05 V or less for 5 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic).

Warm up the engine and idle it for 5 seconds
| With the engine running at speeds higher than idle, voltage of the ECM IDLO terminal is 3.4 V or higher for 5 seconds or more (1 trip detection logic).

- NOTICE:
- After replacing the ECM, the new ECM needs registration (HILUX_TGN26 RM0000012XK05AX.html) and initialization (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000TIN058X.html).
- HINT:
- Read freeze frame data using the GTS. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
1.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (INJECTOR DRIVER - ECM) |
Disconnect the injector driver connector.
Disconnect the ECM connector.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Reconnect the injector driver connector.
Reconnect the ECM connector.
2.REPLACE INJECTOR DRIVER |
Replace the injector driver (HILUX_TGN26 RM000004QZ2007X.html).
3.CHECK ANY OTHER DTCS OUTPUT |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
After warming up the engine, idle the engine for 5 seconds or more.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
Read the DTCs.

5.REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR |
Repair or replace the harness or connector.
6.CONFIRM WHETHER MALFUNCTION HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED |
Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
Clear the DTCs (HILUX_TGN26 RM000000PDK0X4X.html).
After warming up the engine, idle the engine for 5 seconds or more.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.
Confirm that the DTC is not output again.
