VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (for Sedan) - Skid Control Buzzer Circuit


DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.
The combination meter has a built-in skid control buzzer. The skid control buzzer sounds during VSC operation.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform zero point calibration (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000XHR06QX.html).
1.CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

  1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output (YARIS_NCP93 RM000001D3E00OX.html).

2.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SKID CONTROL BUZZER)

  1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

  1. Start the engine.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Active Test.

    ABS/VSC/TRAC (Skid Control ECU)
    Tester Display
    		Test Part
    		Control Range
    		Diagnostic Note
    Buzzer
    		Skid control buzzer
    		Buzzer ON/OFF
    		Buzzer can be heard

  1. Check that the buzzer sounds or stops in accordance with the Techstream.

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Replace the combination meter (YARIS_NCP93 RM000000IN001JX.html).
