  1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

  2. REMOVE BATTERY

  3. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY

  4. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)

  6. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR (w/o VSC)

  7. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)

  8. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY (w/o VSC)

Brake Actuator (For Sedan) -- Removal



1. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTICE:
Immediately wash off any brake fluid that comes into contact with any painted surfaces.


2. REMOVE BATTERY

  1. Disconnect the cable from the battery terminal.

  1. Loosen the nut and remove the battery clamp.

  1. Remove the battery.



3. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY


4. REMOVE BATTERY CARRIER

  1. Separate the wire harness clamp from the battery carrier.

  1. Remove the 5 bolts and remove the battery carrier.



5. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)

  1. Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

  1. Using a union nut wrench 10 mm and a union nut wrench 12 mm, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.

  1. Use tags or labels to identify the place to reconnect each brake tube.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and brake actuator with bracket.

    NOTICE:
    Do not damage the brake tubes or wire harness.


6. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR (w/o VSC)

  1. Release the lock lever and disconnect the brake actuator connector.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to allow brake fluid to enter the removed connector.

  1. Using a union nut wrench 10 mm, separate the 6 brake tubes from the brake actuator.

    NOTICE:
