REMOVE PROPELLER INTERMEDIATE SHAFT

REMOVE NO. 1 CENTER SUPPORT BEARING ASSEMBLY

Put matchmarks on the intermediate shaft and propeller shaft.

Separate the intermediate shaft and propeller shaft.

• NOTICE:

• Be careful not to damage the spline.

Remove the adjusting nut from the intermediate shaft.

Remove the dust boot from the propeller shaft.

• HINT:

• If the dust boot is to be reused, remove it after wrapping vinyl tape around the spline so that it will not be damaged.

Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring.

Using SST and a press, remove the No. 1 center support bearing assembly and No. 2 dust deflector.
