DESCRIPTION

These DTCs are output if a key that does not have a transponder chip is inserted into the ignition key cylinder or if communication between the key and transponder key ECU assembly is impossible.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. If the transponder key ECU assembly is replaced, register the key and ECU communication ID.
  1. If the key is replaced, register the key.
1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Select Immobiliser in the DATA LIST and read the value displayed on the intelligent tester.

2.CHECK KEYS

  1. Insert the vehicle's other key into the ignition key cylinder.

  1. Check that the engine starts with this key.

    OK:
    The engine starts.

RE-REGISTER OR REPLACE KEY THAT CANNOT START ENGINE

3.REPLACE TRANSPONDER KEY AMPLIFIER

  1. After replacing the transponder key amplifier (CAMRY_ACV40 RM0000025PF00DX.html) with a normally functioning amplifier, check that the engine starts.

    OK:
    The engine starts.
