DTC C0371 Yaw Rate Sensor (Test Mode DTC)

DTC C1279 Acceleration Sensor Output Voltage Malfunction (Test Mode DTC)


DESCRIPTION

DTCs C0371 and C1279 can be cleared when the yaw rate and deceleration sensor sends a yaw rate and/or deceleration signal or when Test Mode ends. DTCs C0371 and C1279 are output only in Test Mode.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When replacing the yaw rate sensor assembly, perform zero point calibration (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001K1O00SX.html).
1.CHECK YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR INSTALLATION

  1. Check that the yaw rate and deceleration sensor has been installed properly (RAV4_ACA30 RM000001XVO00CX_01_0001.html).

    OK:
    The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.
    The sensor should not be installed in a tilted position.

2.INSPECT YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR (IG TERMINAL)


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35.Brake Control.Anti-Lock Brake System. Dtc C0371 Yaw Rate Sensor (Test Mode Dtc)

  1. Make sure that there is no looseness in the locking part and connecting part of the connectors.

  1. Disconnect the yaw rate and deceleration sensor connector.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection
    		Switch Condition
    		Specified Condition
    K25-4 (IG) - Body ground
    		Ignition switch ON
    		11 to 14 V

3.INSPECT YAW RATE AND DECELERATION SENSOR (GND TERMINAL)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    K25-1 (GND) - Body ground
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    NOTICE:
    Check the yaw rate and deceleration sensor signal after replacement (RAV4_ACA30 RM0000022CZ00EX.html).
