Yaw Rate And Deceleration Sensor Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  4. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET

  5. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)

  6. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR (w/o VSC)

Yaw Rate And Deceleration Sensor -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.


2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. for Manual Seat:
    Remove the front seat LH (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000Z8U02RX.html).

  1. for Power Seat:
    Remove the front seat LH (RAV4_ACA30 RM000000VBG01QX.html).



3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 10 claws and remove the scuff plate.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.


4. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR BRACKET


  1. Remove the bolt and yaw rate sensor bracket.

5. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ VSC)


    Toyota Rav4. Aca30, 33, 38 Gsa33 Zsa30, 35

  1. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.

    NOTICE:
    Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.


6. REMOVE DECELERATION SENSOR (w/o VSC)

  1. Disconnect the deceleration sensor connector.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and deceleration sensor.

    NOTICE:
    Do not remove the sensor from the bracket.
