The control overheating sensor detects overheating of the engine coolant, and the power heater ECU stops the operation of the heater assembly. (DTCs 012 and/or 014 are detected 10 times in a row.)
  1. Engine coolant circuit (leaks, engine coolant quality, thermostat, water pump assembly)
  2. Heater assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

HINT:
Clear the DTCs by pressing the memory clear buttons on the tester to unlock the ECU.
1.CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAK
  1. Check for engine coolant leaks (LandCruiser RM00000419K013X_01_0016.html).

3.INSPECT THERMOSTAT

4.INSPECT WATER PUMP ASSEMBLY
  1. Remove the water pump assembly (LandCruiser RM000000MWA035X.html).
