Thermostat Removal


  1. REMOVE FAN SHROUD

  2. REMOVE WATER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)

  3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  5. REMOVE WATER INLET

  6. REMOVE THERMOSTAT

Thermostat -- Removal



1. REMOVE FAN SHROUD

2. REMOVE WATER HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Cold Area Specification Vehicles)


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the water hose sub-assembly from the water inlet.

  1. Slide the 4 hose clamps and remove the water hose sub-assembly.



3. DISCONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser, Land Cruiser Prado. Grj150 Trj150,155 Kdj150,155 Lj150, Gdj150,155

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the No. 2 water by-pass pipe sub-assembly from the engine water pump assembly and water inlet.



4. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

  1. Slide the hose clamp and disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the water inlet.



5. REMOVE WATER INLET

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and water inlet.



6. REMOVE THERMOSTAT

  1. Remove the thermostat from the engine water pump sub-assembly.

  1. Remove the gasket from the thermostat.
