DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the parking assist ECU judges that the back camera initial setting has not been memorized (rear television camera optical axis adjustment is incomplete).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When "System initializing" is displayed on the parking assist ECU after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point (LandCruiser RM0000035DE05TX.html).
  2. Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the parking assist monitor system may be needed (LandCruiser RM0000035D3072X.html).
1.ADJUST SETTINGS (CAMERA POSITION SETTING)

  1. Perform the following procedure depending on the memory conditions to register the vehicle information into the parking assist ECU.

    1. Refer to rear television camera optical axis adjustment (LandCruiser RM0000035DD06LX.html).

2.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000035DB07DX.html).

  1. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM0000035DB07DX.html).

    OK:
    DTC C1691 is not output.
    HINT:
    1. If DTC C1691 is output, perform the rear television camera assembly optical axis adjustment again.
    2. If DTC C1691 is still output after performing the rear television camera assembly optical axis adjustment 3 times, replace the parking assist ECU.
