Power Point Socket Removal


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  2. REMOVE SWITCH BASE

  3. REMOVE POWER POINT SOCKET ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  7. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH

  8. REMOVE REAR POWER POINT SOCKET ASSEMBLY

Power Point Socket -- Removal



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.


2. REMOVE SWITCH BASE

  1. Detach the 8 claws.

  1. Disconnect all connectors and remove the switch base.



3. REMOVE POWER POINT SOCKET ASSEMBLY

  1. Rotate the socket to disengage the notch.

  1. Pull out the socket halfway and rotate the socket until its protrusion is aligned with the groove of the cover.

  1. Remove the socket from the cover.



4. REMOVE BACK DOOR SCUFF PLATE

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 6 clips and remove the scuff plate.



5. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 7 claws.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 2 clips and remove the scuff plate.



6. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH


7. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH

  1. Disconnect the rear No. 1 seat belt outer anchor.

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor.



  1. Disconnect the rear No. 2 seat belt outer anchor.

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the lap belt outer anchor cover.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the anchor.

  1. Remove the screw and quarter trim hook.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip labeled A.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 6 claws.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 10 clips and remove the trim board.

  1. Disconnect the cooler control switch connector.

  1. Remove the 2 belt hangers.



8. REMOVE REAR POWER POINT SOCKET ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 2 claw fittings and remove the socket.
