CHECK ECM (DLC3 INPUT)

CHECK DTC (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

DESCRIPTION

HINT:

When each warning light continues blinking, a ground short in the wiring of terminal TC of the DLC3 or an internal ground short in each ECU is suspected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform calibration (LandCruiser RM00000452J00ZX.html).

1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   G48-13 (TC) - G48-4 (CG)	Ignition switch ON	11 to 14 V

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
   

3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   

4. Turn the intelligent tester on.
   

5. Select CAN Bus Check from the System Selection Menu screen and follow the prompts on the screen to inspect the CAN bus (for LHD: LandCruiser RM000000WIB0ECX.html, for RHD: LandCruiser RM000000WIB0EEX.html).
   

   OK:

   CAN Bus Check indicates no malfunctions in CAN communication.

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
   

3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
   

4. Turn the intelligent tester on.
   

5. Check for DTCs (for LHD: LandCruiser RM000000WIB0ECX.html, for RHD: LandCruiser RM000000WIB0EEX.html).
   

   Result

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
   

2. for 1GR-FE (Automatic Transmission):
   Disconnect the G55 ECM connector.
   for 1GR-FE (Manual Transmission):
   Disconnect the G56 ECM connector.
   for 1KD-FTV:
   Disconnect the G58 ECM connector.
   for 1GD-FTV:
   Disconnect the G184 ECM connector.
   

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   
   

   Standard Resistance:

   for 1GR-FE (Automatic Transmission)

   G55-6 (TC) - G48-13 (TC)	Always	Below 1 Ω

   for 1GR-FE (Manual Transmission)

1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

1. Using SST, connect terminals 13 (TC) and 4 (CG) of the DLC3.
