Before starting the engine, firmly depress the brake pedal (or fully depress the clutch pedal) until the indicator in the engine switch turns green.

Attach the 2 claws to install the switch.

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Turn the shift lever knob counterclockwise and remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.

• Standard resistance:

• Terminal No.	Specified condition
  1 - 2	10 kΩ or higher
  	Below 1 Ω (Apply battery voltage between terminals 3 and 4)

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the glow plug relay assembly.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.

• Standard resistance:

• Tester Connection	Specified Condition
  3 - 5	10 kΩ or higher
  	Below 1 Ω (Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 and 2)

If the result is not as specified, replace the starter cut relay.

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between each terminal.

• Standard resistance:

• Terminal No.	Specified condition
  3 - 5	10 kΩ or higher
  	Below 1 Ω (Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 and 2)

If the resistance is not as specified, replace the starter relay assembly.
