CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU

CHECK FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

REPLACE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the side monitor system may be needed (LandCruiser RM000003XM401ZX.html).

1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000003XM2023X.html).
   

2. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM000003XM2023X.html).
   

   Result

   DTC C1683 and C1684 are not output	A
   DTC C1683 and/or C1684 is output	B

1. Disconnect the I7 parking assist ECU connector.
   

2. Disconnect the J3*1 or K2*2 front passenger side outer rear view mirror assembly connector.
   

   1. *1: for LHD
      
   2. *2: for RHD
      

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   
   

   Standard Resistance:

   for LHD

2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   HINT:

   1. A waterproof connector is used for the side television camera assembly. Therefore, inspect the waveform at the navigation receiver assembly*1 or radio and display receiver assembly*2 with the connector connected.
      
   1. *1: for Navigation Receiver Type
      
   2. *2: for Radio and Display Type
      
   2. The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the side television camera assembly.
      

   Measurement Condition

   Condition	Waveform A: Engine switch on (IG), wide view front and side monitor switch on, camera lens not covered, displaying image Waveform B: Engine switch on (IG), wide view front and side monitor switch on, camera lens covered, blacking out screen

   OK:

   Waveform is as shown in illustration.
   

1. Replace the front passenger side television camera assembly with a new or normally functioning one (LandCruiser RM000003A0M02TX.html).
   

1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000003XM2023X.html).
   

2. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM000003XM2023X.html).
