Power Window Control System Key-Off Operation Function Operates Even If Operating Conditions Are Not Satisfied

CHECK DRIVER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY

DESCRIPTION

1. When the front doors are closed, each power window regulator motor can control its power window operation for approximately 43 seconds after the ignition switch is turned from ON to off by receiving operation permission signals from the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block). However, when approximately 43 seconds have elapsed, or a front side door is opened within approximately 43 seconds of the ignition switch being turned off, all the power window regulator motors disable manual operation.
   

1. During the auto function operation, when 43 seconds have elapsed and key-off operation is prohibited, the window operation stops immediately.
   

1. The front passenger side power window and the rear power windows cannot be operated when the window lock switch is on.
   

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1. Check for LIN communication system DTCs related to the power window control system (LandCruiser RM000001RSO0BWX.html).
   

   OK:

   LIN communication system DTCs are not output.
   

1. Check the power window operation function after the ignition switch is turned off (LandCruiser RM0000016810FQX.html).

1. Use the Data List to check if the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is functioning properly (LandCruiser RM0000027QL04NX.html).

   OK:

   On tester screen, each item changes between ON and OFF according to above chart.
   

1. Open a front door and check that the map light illuminates (LandCruiser RM0000027QL04NX.html).
   

   OK:

   Map light illuminates.
   

1. Temporarily replace the driver side junction block with a new or normally functioning one.
   

2. Check the front door open and close function.
