SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM - Driver Side Seat Belt Warning Light does not Operate


DESCRIPTION

When the ignition switch is turned to ON, the center airbag sensor transmits front seat inner belt LH*1 (or RH*2) state signals to the combination meter through the CAN. If the driver side seat belt is not fastened, the combination meter blinks the front seat belt warning light. If the seat belt is fastened, the warning light goes off.
HINT:
The front seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly is used for both the driver side seat and front passenger side seat.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
The seat belt warning system uses the CAN communication system. First, confirm that there is no malfunction in the CAN communication system. Refer to the How to Proceed with Troubleshooting procedure (LandCruiser RM000000Y5I0IIX.html).
1.CHECK FOR DTC (AIRBAG SYSTEM)

  1. Clear the DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000XFE0NGX.html).

  1. Check for DTCs (LandCruiser RM000000XFE0NGX.html).

2.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT WARNING LIGHT)

  1. Operate the intelligent tester according to the display and select Active Test (LandCruiser RM0000012G70JUX.html).

    OK:
    Driver side seat belt warning light operates normally.
