VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (for Vacuum Brake Booster) - ABS Warning Light does not Come ON


DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

Refer to ABS Warning Light Remains ON (LandCruiser RM000000XIH0KFX_02.html).

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration (LandCruiser RM000000XHR0BKX.html).
  2. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output (for LHD without Entry and Start System: LandCruiser RM000000WIB0EDX.html, for LHD with Entry and Start System: LandCruiser RM000000WIB0ECX.html).

2.CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Check that the ABS warning light comes on.

    OK:
    The ABS warning light comes on.

Go to step 3
OK

REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY (LandCruiser RM0000034UX02TX.html)

3.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ABS WARNING LIGHT)

  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

  1. Turn the intelligent tester on.

  1. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.
