Land Cruiser URJ200 URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200 - HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING
REAR AIR CONDITIONING UNIT (w/o Heater) - REMOVAL
1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL |
Remove the 7 clips and radiator support seal.
2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM |
Start the engine.
Turn the A/C switch on.
Operate the cooler compressor while the engine speed is approximately 1000 rpm for 5 to 6 minutes to circulate the refrigerant and collect the compressor oil remaining in each component into the cooler compressor.
Stop the engine.
Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery unit.
3. PRECAUTION |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work ().
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected ().
5. REMOVE REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE |

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH |

7. REMOVE TONNEAU COVER ASSEMBLY (w/ Tonneau Cover) |
Remove the tonneau cover.
8. REMOVE REAR SEAT COVER CAP (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat) |

9. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH |
w/ Sliding Roof:

w/o Sliding Roof:

10. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY |

Remove the 2 bolts.
Disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
- NOTICE:
Remove the 2 O-rings from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.
11. REMOVE REAR ROOF NO. 1 AIR DUCT |

Detach the 2 claws and remove the cooler plate.

Remove the clip and duct.
12. REMOVE REAR COOLING UNIT ASSEMBLY |

Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 4 bolts and rear cooling unit.
