DESCRIPTION
When the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly turns on, the ON signal is input into the parking assist ECU*1 or clearance warning ECU assembly*2.

Check the Data List for proper functioning of the back sonar or clearance sonar main switch assembly ().

Remove the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly ().
Inspect the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly ().

3.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - PARKING ASSIST ECU AND BATTERY) |
Disconnect the G15 back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly connector.
Disconnect the F76 parking assist ECU connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
Tester Connection | Switch Condition | Specified Condition |
G15-6 (IG) - Body ground | Engine switch on (IG) | 11 to 14 V |
Engine switch off | Below 1 V |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Resistance:

G15-9 (ECU) - F76-25 (CSSW) | Always | Below 1 Ω |
G15-9 (ECU) - Body ground | Always | 10 kΩ or higher |

Disconnect the G15 back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly connector.
Disconnect the F12 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard Voltage:
