HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR (for Rear Side) - INSPECTION

1. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Height Control Sensor (For Rear Side) - Inspection. SUSPENSION CONTROL. Land Cruiser URJ200 URJ202 GRJ200 VDJ200

  • NOTICE:
  • Do not drop the height control sensor. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.

Connect 3 dry batteries of 1.5 V in series.

Connect the positive (+) end of the batteries to terminal 1 (SHB) of the height control sensor and the negative (-) end of the batteries to terminal 3 (SHG). While slowly moving the sensor link up and down, measure the voltage between terminal 2 (SHRR*1, SHRL*2) and terminal 3 (SHG).

  • HINT:
  • *1: for RH
  • *2: for LH

Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  • Standard Voltage:
  • for RH
    Tester ConnectionConditionSpecified Condition
    2 (SHRR) - 3 (SHG)Max. HIApprox. 4.1 V
    NormalApprox. 2.25 V
    Min. LOApprox. 0.45 V
  • for LH
    Tester ConnectionConditionSpecified Condition
    2 (SHRL) - 3 (SHG)Max. HIApprox. 4.1 V
    NormalApprox. 2.25 V
    Min. LOApprox. 0.45 V
  • NOTICE:
  • Do not apply a voltage of higher than 6 V.

If the result is not as specified, replace the rear height control sensor.
