Rear Room Light Assembly -- Inspection |
| 1. INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT (PERSONAL LIGHT) |
Disconnect the R8 connector from the rear room light.
 |
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R8-3 (RGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard voltage:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R8-1 (RRMP) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 1 and the (-) lead to terminal 3.
 |
Check that the personal light comes on.
- OK:
Condition Specified Condition LH side personal light ON LH side personal light comes ON LH side personal light OFF LH side personal light does not come ON RH side personal light ON RH side personal light comes ON RH side personal light OFF RH side personal light does not come ON
| 2. INSPECT REAR ROOM LIGHT (DOME LIGHT) |
Disconnect the R8 connector from the rear room light.
 |
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
- Standard resistance:
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition R8-1 (RRMP) - Body ground Always 10 to 14 V
Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 4.
 |
Check that the rear interior light comes on.
- OK:
- Comes on
Connect the (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 and the (-) lead to terminal 5.
Check that the rear seat light comes on.
- OK:
- Comes on
