      3.INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
      1. Use the intelligent tester to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system (BEAN).

        1. (ECU connected, communication line malfunctioning) Without code outputs, proceed to A.

        2. (ECU connected, communication line malfunctioning) With code outputs, proceed to B.

      4.CHECK FOR DTC
      1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output (Click here).

      2. Delete the DTC.

      3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTCs output above, try to duplicate the SFI system DTC or engine immobiliser system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
