Supplemental Restraint System. Lexus Is250, Is220D. Gse20 Ale20

  1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

  3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

  5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.


1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


  1. Install the curtain shield airbag assembly with the 2 clips and 9 new bolts.

    Torque:
    11 N*m{110 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf}

    NOTICE:
    Do not twist the curtain shield airbag assembly when installing it.

  1. Connect the connector.

    NOTICE:
    When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.


2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY
HINT:
Refer to the procedures from "INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY" (Click here).


3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


4. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

  1. Perform initialization (Click here).

    HINT:
    Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to negative battery terminal.


5. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Inspect the SRS warning light (Click here).
