Glow Plug On-Vehicle Inspection

Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between the glow plug terminal and ground.

Resistance:

Condition	Specified condition
-20°C (-4°F)	0.84 Ω
0°C (32°F)	0.89 Ω
20°C (68°F)	0.95 Ω
40°C (104°F)	1.01 Ω
60°C (140°F)	1.06 Ω

NOTICE:

1. Be careful not to damage the glow plugs because it could cause an open circuit or shorten the life of the glow plugs.
   
2. Remove any oil from the glow plug and bakelite washers with a dry cloth.
