CHECK SATELLITE SWITCH OPERATION

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (OPERATE F/PMP RELAY)

ECD SYSTEM - Engine does not Start even after Priming


INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK FUEL LEVEL

  1. Check the fuel gauge to confirm the fuel level.

    Result:
    Condition
    		Proceed to
    Full
    		A
    Less than half
    		B
    Empty
    		C

GO TO FUEL PUMP CONTROL CIRCUIT
OK


2.CHECK SATELLITE SWITCH OPERATION

  1. Operate the satellite switch to select PRIMING operation.

  1. Operate the satellite switch to turn ON or OFF priming operation.

    OK:
    PRIMING is shown in the combination meter, and priming operation can be turned ON or OFF.

GO TO SATELLITE SWITCH CIRCUIT

3.PERFORM ACTIVE TEST BY INTELLIGENT TESTER (OPERATE F/PMP RELAY)

  1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

  1. Turn the engine switch ON (IG) and turn the intelligent tester ON.

  1. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Active Test / Active the Intank Fuel Pump Relay.

  1. Check the operation of the fuel pump while operating it using the intelligent tester.

    OK:
    Operating noise can be heard from the fuel pump.

  1. Grip the fuel hose to confirm that fuel is being transferred when priming operation is performed.

    OK:
    Fuel is being transferred.
