INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1.CHECK IF A PROPER CD IS INSERTED |
Make sure that the CD is a normal audio CD, and that it is not deformed, flawed, stained, burred or otherwise defective.
- OK:
- Normal audio CD.
- HINT:
- Translucent or uniquely-shaped CDs cannot be played.
- CDs for personal computers (with music recorded on them) and CD-Rs cannot be played.
- For vehicles made for Europe, an adapter is not required to play 8 cm (3.2 in) CDs. For vehicles made for countries other than Europe, use an adapter to play 8 cm (3.2 in) CDs.
2.CHECK THAT CD IS INSERTED PROPERLY |
Check whether or not the CD is inserted upside down
- OK:
- CD is properly inserted.
Clean the disc by wiping the CDs underside radially with a soft cloth.
- OK:
- Malfunction disappears.
- NOTICE:
- Do not use a conventional record cleaner or anti-static preservative.
4.REPLACE CD WITH ANOTHER AND RECHECK |
Replace the CD with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
- OK:
- Malfunction disappears.
