AIR PUMP - REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

Remove the 3 bolts and 2 screws.

Turn the clip indicated by the arrow in the illustration to remove the front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH.

2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON TRIM PACKING A

Remove the 3 clips and front fender apron trim packing A.

3. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER RH

Remove the screw, and disconnect the liner from the front bumper cover.

Using a T30 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 screws.

Remove the 4 clips.

Partially remove the fender liner.

It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the air pump can be removed.

4. REMOVE NO. 3 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

Inside engine room:

Slide the clip and disconnect the No. 3 air injection system hose from the air tube.

Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 3 air injection system hose from the clamp.

Inside front fender RH:

Detach the clamp from the air pump bracket.

Slide the clip and remove the No. 3 air injection system hose.

5. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the connector.

Detach the connector clamp from the bracket.

Disconnect the wire harness from the clamp.

Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts and air pump assembly.

6. REMOVE AIR PUMP INLET

Remove the 2 bolts and air pump inlet.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

Remove the No. 1 air injection system hose from the air pump assembly.

8. REMOVE AIR PUMP

Detach the 2 clamps from the air pump bracket.

Remove the 3 insulators from the air pump.
