Air Fuel Ratio Sensor (For Sensor 1) -- Removal |
| 1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- CAUTION:
- Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
| 2. REMOVE BATTERY |
Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable from the battery.
Disconnect the positive (+) battery cable from the battery.
Remove the 2 nuts and the battery clamp.
European models only :
Disconnect the battery thermometer connector.
Remove the battery insulator.
Remove the battery.
| 3. REMOVE POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY |
Remove the battery tray support No.1.
Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the ground cable terminal.

Release the locks of the 2 power steering ECU assembly connectors and disconnect the connectors.
 |
Remove the power steering ECU assembly.
| 4. REMOVE BATTERY TRAY |
 |
Remove the 2 bolts and battery tray.
| 5. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) |
 |
Disconnect the sensor connector.
Using SST, remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold RH.

| 6. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (BANK 2 SENSOR 1) |

Disconnect the sensor connector.
Using SST, remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold LH.
