REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH
REMOVE LOWER DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
REMOVE NO. 3 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
REMOVE NO. 4 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
Black Out Tape (For Front Door) -- Removal |
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
- When removing the black out tape and window frame moulding, heat the vehicle body, black out tape and window frame moulding using a heat light.
- Standard Heating Temperature:

- NOTICE:
- Do not heat the vehicle body, black out tape and window frame moulding excessively.
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL |
- NOTICE:
- When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).
3. REMOVE FRONT LOWER DOOR FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH |
Detach the clip and claw, and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.
4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH |
Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 5 claws.
Disconnect the connector and remove the armrest base panel.
6. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH |
Using a moulding remover, detach the 8 claws and remove the door assist grip cover LH.
7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Remove the 3 screws.
Remove the 13 clips.
Remove the front inner door glass weatherstrip LH together with the front door trim board sub-assembly LH by pulling them upward in the order shown in the illustration.
- HINT:
- Make sure that the pin labeled A in the illustration is detached from the door panel.
Disconnect the connector.
Disconnect the 2 cables from the front door inside handle sub-assembly LH.
8. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH |
w/ Power Mirror Control System:
Disconnect the connector labeled A.
Detach the clamp.
Remove the 3 nuts and claw.
Remove the outer rear view mirror.
9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH |
Using a clip remover, detach the 9 clamps.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the 2 connectors.
Remove the front door service hole cover LH.
- HINT:
- Remove the remaining tape on the door.
10. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH |
Detach the 4 clips and remove the front inner door glass weatherstrip LH from the front door trim board sub-assembly LH.
- NOTICE:
- Squeeze the metal clip to remove it.
- The metal clip may be deformed if it is forcibly pulled.
11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH |
Driver Side:
Temporarily install the multiplex network master switch.
Passenger Side:
Temporarily install the power window regulator switch assembly.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
Move the front door glass sub-assembly until the bolts appear in the service holes.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the 2 bolts.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.
Remove the front door glass sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.
- HINT:
- Remove the front door glass sub-assembly upward.
- NOTICE:
- Be careful not to damage the glass.
Driver Side:
Remove the multiplex network master switch.
Passenger Side:
Remove the power window regulator switch assembly.
12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH |
Remove the front door glass run LH.
13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH |
Put protective tape around the belt moulding.
Detach the claw and remove the belt moulding.
14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH |
Put protective tape around the window frame moulding.
Detach the clip and remove the double-sided tape to remove the window frame moulding.
15. REMOVE LOWER DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH |
Detach the claw and remove the lower door frame garnish LH.
16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH |
Detach the 6 clips, and remove the upper part of the front door weatherstrip so that the black out tape can be removed.
17. REMOVE NO. 1 BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
18. REMOVE NO. 3 BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
19. REMOVE NO. 4 BLACK OUT TAPE LH |
Pull back an edge of the black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
