  1. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

  2. INSTALL REAR LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

  3. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER (w/ Pintle Hook)

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD RH

  6. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  7. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE BRACKET (w/ Tire Carrier)

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 3 SIDE BRACKET (w/ Tire Carrier)

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER LH

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER RH

  12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  13. INSTALL NO. 2 FRAME WIRE

Rear Bumper (For Double Swing Out Type) -- Reassembly



1. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

  1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear No. 2 step cover.

  1. Install the 2 screws and 2 clips.



2. INSTALL REAR LOWER BUMPER COVER (w/ Towing Hitch)

  1. Install the rear lower bumper cover with the clip.



3. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 STEP COVER (w/ Pintle Hook)

  1. Attach the 10 claws to install the rear No. 2 step cover.



4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH
HINT:
When installing the rear bumper pad, heat the rear bumper cover using a heat light.
Standard:
Item
Temperature
Rear Bumper Cover
20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
NOTICE:
Do not heat the rear bumper cover excessively.

  1. When using a new rear bumper cover:

    1. Clean the surface of a new rear bumper cover.

    2. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

  1. When reusing the rear bumper cover:

    1. Using a heat light, heat the rear bumper cover surface.

    2. Remove the double-sided tape from the rear bumper cover.

    3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

  1. Install a new rear bumper pad.

    1. Remove the peeling paper from the face of a new rear bumper pad.

      HINT:
      After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

    2. Align the rear bumper pad with the mark-off line of the rear bumper.

    3. Install the rear bumper pad.



5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


6. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Attach the claw to install the back-up light assembly LH.

  1. Install the 2 nuts.



7. INSTALL BACK-UP LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 2 SIDE BRACKET (w/ Tire Carrier)

  1. Attach the 3 claws to install the rear bumper No. 2 side bracket.



9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 3 SIDE BRACKET (w/ Tire Carrier)

  1. Install the rear bumper No. 3 side bracket with the 2 screws.



10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER LH

  1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear bumper upper cover.



11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER UPPER COVER RH
HINT:
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.


12. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

  1. Attach the 8 claws to install the rear bumper energy absorber.



13. INSTALL NO. 2 FRAME WIRE

  1. Attach the 13 clamps to install the No. 2 frame wire.

  1. Connect the 2 connectors.
