POWER MIRROR CONTROL SYSTEM (w/ Retract Mirror) - Power Mirror Surface Position is not Memorized


SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The outer rear view mirror assembly has a mirror position sensor. The position control ECU and switch sends instructions to the outer mirror control ECU. Then the outer mirror control ECU receives mirror information from the mirror position sensors, and memorizes the mirror positions.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

1.CHECK DTC

  1. Use the intelligent tester to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

2.CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (SEAT POSITION MEMORY FUNCTION)

  1. Check that the driver side seat can be moved using the seat memory switch.

    OK:
    Driver side seat can be moved using seat memory switch.

3.CHECK SEAT MEMORY SWITCH FUNCTION (REGISTRATION OF SEAT MEMORY SWITCH)

  1. Check that the memory operation is properly completed.

    NOTICE:
    1. The seat position will not be recorded if the seat memory SET switch and 2 or more of the seat memory switches (for example, seat memory switch 1 and seat memory switch 2) are pressed simultaneously.
    2. If the operation fails, the mirror facing direction will not be memorized until the seat memory SET switch is turned off.
    3. The mirror facing direction will not be memorized when the mirror is operated manually.
    OK:
    Driver side seat position can be memorized using seat memory switch (for Driver Side).
