DTC B225B Tail Gate Panel Half Switch or Courtesy Switch RH


DESCRIPTION

The No. 2 main body ECU receives the half-latch switch, pawl switch and lower tail gate courtesy switch signals from the lower tail gate lock assembly RH and detects the open/closed status of the lower tail gate. DTC B225B is stored when the No. 2 main body ECU receives a half-latch switch, pawl switch or lower tail gate courtesy switch malfunction signal from the lower tail gate lock assembly RH.

1.READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER
  1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the half-latch switch, pawl switch and lower tail gate courtesy switch (Click here).

2.CHECK DTC OUTPUT
  1. Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Starting with the lower tail gate closed, open and close the lower tail gate 6 times.

  1. Recheck for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC B225B is not output.


NG
REPLACE NO. 2 MAIN BODY ECU (Click here)

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

3.INSPECT LOWER TAIL GATE LOCK ASSEMBLY RH
  1. Remove the lower tail gate lock assembly RH (Click here).

  1. Inspect the lower tail gate lock assembly RH (Click here).

REPLACE LOWER TAIL GATE LOCK ASSEMBLY RH (Click here)

4.CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LOWER TAIL GATE LOCK ASSEMBLY RH - NO. 2 MAIN BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND)
  1. Disconnect the h4 lower tail gate lock assembly RH connector.

  1. Disconnect the L50 No. 2 main body ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
