  2. INSPECT VISCOUS HEATER RELAY

  3. INSTALL VISCOUS HEATER RELAY

Relay (W/ Viscous Heater) -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. REMOVE VISCOUS HEATER RELAY

  1. Remove the viscous heater relay from the engine room relay block.



2. INSPECT VISCOUS HEATER RELAY

  1. Measure the resistance of the viscous heater relay.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    3 - 5
    		Battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2
    		10 kΩ or higher
    Battery voltage applied to terminal 1 and 2
    		Below 1 Ω
    1. If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.


3. INSTALL VISCOUS HEATER RELAY

  1. Install the viscous heater relay to the engine room relay block.
