  1. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

  2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)

  6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  7. REMOVE COOLER THERMISTOR (ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR)

Room Temperature Sensor (For Front Side) -- Removal


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LHD vehicle and RHD vehicle.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LHD vehicle.


1. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION


  1. for Type A:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200.Heating Air Conditioning.Air Conditioning System (For Automatic Air Conditioning System).Room Temperature Sensor (For Front Side)  Removal
    1. Put protective tape around the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 claws and 3 clips and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



  1. for Type B:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200.Heating Air Conditioning.Air Conditioning System (For Automatic Air Conditioning System).Room Temperature Sensor (For Front Side)  Removal
    1. Put protective tape around the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 7 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



2. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


  1. for Type A:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200.Heating Air Conditioning.Air Conditioning System (For Automatic Air Conditioning System).Room Temperature Sensor (For Front Side)  Removal
    1. Put protective tape around the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.

    2. Remove the clip and screw.



    3. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200
    4. Detach the 11 claws and guide.

    5. Disconnect the connector and detach the clamps and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.



  1. for Type B:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200.Heating Air Conditioning.Air Conditioning System (For Automatic Air Conditioning System).Room Temperature Sensor (For Front Side)  Removal
    1. Put protective tape around the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.

    2. Remove the clip and screw.



    3. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200
    4. Detach the 8 claws and 2 guides and remove the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.



3. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  1. Put protective tape around the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  1. Using a moulding remover A, detach the 3 claws and remove the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.



4. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  1. Put protective tape around the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  1. Using a moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.



5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)

  1. Remove the 2 screws <A>.

  1. Detach the 3 claws.

  1. Disconnect the connector and remove the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.



6. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the hole cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts <B>.

  1. w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag:



    1. Detach the 16 claws.

  1. w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag:



    1. Detach the 9 claws.

  1. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200
    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the room temperature sensor.



    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200
  1. Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the 2 control cables.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.



7. REMOVE COOLER THERMISTOR (ROOM TEMPERATURE SENSOR)

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Disconnect the hose and remove the cooler thermistor (room temperature sensor).
