Front Seat Assembly (For Manual Seat) -- Disassembly |
- CAUTION:
- Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.
- HINT:
- Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
- The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.
- Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
- The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
| 1. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTER COVER LH (for 8 Way Seat Type) |

Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the vertical adjuster cover LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for 8 Way Seat Type) |
 |
Remove the 2 screws and vertical adjusting handle LH.
| 3. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB (for 8 Way Seat Type) |
 |
Remove the snap ring and vertical seat adjuster knob.
| 4. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH |
 |
Lift the reclining adjuster release handle LH.
Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.
- HINT:
- Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
| 5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH |
w/ Seatback Board:
Disconnect the 2 rubber bands from the 2 hooks.

w/o Seatback Board:
Disconnect the rubber band from the 2 hooks.
 |
for 4 Way Seat Type:
Remove the 2 screws.
Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the front seat cushion shield LH.
 |
for 8 Way Seat Type:
Remove the 3 screws.
Detach the 3 claws in the order shown in the illustration, and then remove the front seat cushion shield LH.
 |
w/ Lumbar Support:
Disconnect the lumbar switch connector.
| 6. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH (w/ Lumbar support) |

Remove the 2 screws and lumbar switch.
| 7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Manual Seat) |
- NOTICE:
- After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).
| 8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Bench Seat Type) |
| 9. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH |

Remove the screw.
Detach the claw and clip, and then remove the front inner seat cushion shield LH.
| 10. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD |
Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips.
 |
w/ Lumbar Support:
Detach the wire harness clamp.
 |
w/ Occupant Detection Sensor:
Detach the 2 clamps and remove connector holder.
 |
Bend the 2 seat frame claws upward.
 |
Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.
| 11. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEAT CUSHION COVER |
Remove the hog rings and front separate type seat cushion cover from the front separate type seat cushion pad.
 |
| 12. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seatback Board) |
 |
Remove the 2 screws.
Move the front seatback board sub-assembly LH in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 hooks and remove it.
| 13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT (w/ Active Headrest) |
 |
Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.
| 14. REMOVE SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD |
w/ Seatback Board:
Remove the 3 hog rings and detach the 9 hooks.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.
w/o Seatback Board:
Remove the 3 hog rings.
Open the 2 fasteners, and then open the front separate type seatback cover.
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.
Remove the seatback cover with pad from the seatback frame.
| 15. REMOVE FRONT SEPARATE TYPE SEATBACK COVER |
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the front separate type seatback pad.
 |
Remove the hog rings.
 |
Detach the fastening tape and remove the front separate type seatback cover from the front separate type seatback pad.
| 16. REMOVE INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH |
 |
w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:
Detach the wire harness clamp.
Remove the screw.
Detach the claw and remove the inside reclining adjuster cover LH.
| 17. REMOVE INSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH |
w/ Lumbar Support:
Detach the wire harness clamp.
Remove the screw.
Detach the claw and remove the inside reclining adjuster cover RH.
| 18. REMOVE OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER LH |

Remove the screw and outside reclining adjuster cover LH.
| 19. REMOVE OUTSIDE RECLINING ADJUSTER COVER RH |
Remove the screw and outside reclining adjuster cover RH.
| 20. REMOVE LUMBAR SUPPORT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH (w/Lumbar Support) |
Remove the 4 springs.
 |
w/ Active Headrest:
Remove the cable clamp and disconnect the active headrest cable from the seatback spring.
Detach the 4 hooks and remove the seatback spring.
Disconnect the lumbar support adjuster connector.
 |
Remove the 2 screws and lumbar support adjuster assembly LH.
Detach the 3 claws and remove the bush from the seat frame.
 |
| 21. REMOVE LOWER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT (w/ Active Headrest) |
 |
Remove the 6 nuts, and then remove the lower active headrest unit together with the upper active headrest unit.
| 22. REMOVE UPPER ACTIVE HEADREST UNIT (w/ Active Headrest) |
 |
Remove the nut.
Detach the cable clamp and remove the upper active headrest unit from the lower active headrest unit.
| 23. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH |
 |
Detach the claw and remove the front lower seat cushion shield LH.
| 24. REMOVE FRONT LOWER SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH |
Detach the claw and remove the front lower seat cushion shield RH.
| 25. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the screw and seat position sensor with sensor protector.
 |
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the seat slide position sensor protector from the seat position sensor.
 |
| 26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag) |
Detach the 5 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.
 |
Detach the 2 clamps and disconnect the wire harness.
 |
Remove the 2 nuts and front seat airbag assembly LH.
- CAUTION:
- Make sure that the seat frame assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
| 27. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (w/ Wire Harness) |
Detach the wire harness clamps.
Detach the claw and remove the front seat wire LH.
| 28. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH |
for 4 Way Seat Type:
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and inner seat track bracket.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench , remove the 4 "TORX" bolts and seat frame with adjuster.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 "TORX" bolts and reinforcement.
for 8 Way Seat Type:
Detach the spring.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and inner seat track bracket.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the "TORX" bolt and spring.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 4 bolts and seat frame with adjuster.
Using a T40 "TORX" socket wench, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and reinforcement.
Using a screwdriver, detach the spring and remove the front inner seat track assembly LH from the seat track adjusting handle as shown in the illustration.

| 29. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY LH |
Using a screwdriver, detach the spring and remove the front outer seat track assembly LH from the seat track adjusting handle as shown in the illustration.
