  2. CHECK VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED

Curtain Shield Airbag Assembly -- On-Vehicle Inspection



1. CHECK VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

  1. With the curtain shield airbag installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check. If any of the defects mentioned below are present, replace the curtain shield airbag with a new one:
    Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the curtain shield airbag.



2. CHECK VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED

  1. Perform a diagnostic system check (Click here).

  1. With the curtain shield airbag removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the curtain shield airbag with a new one:

    1. Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the curtain shield airbag.
    2. Cracks or other damage to the connectors.

    For removal and installation procedures of the curtain shield airbag, be sure to follow the correct procedure.
