  2. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  4. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (except Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH CUSHION (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (except Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

Knee Airbag Assembly (For Front Passenger Side) -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.
  2. The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


1. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

  1. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

  1. Connect the airbag connector and lock the connector lock.

    NOTICE:
    When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  1. Attach the 4 claws to install the front passenger side knee airbag assembly.

  1. Install the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    12 N*m{122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf}


2. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the connector.

  1. Attach the 3 guides.

  1. Attach the 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.



3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)


  1. for Type A:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Connect the connectors and clamps.

    2. Attach the 11 claws and guide to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.



      3. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    3. Install the screw and clip.



  1. for Type B:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Connect the connectors and clamps.

    2. Attach the 8 claws and 2 guides to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly LH.



      3. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    3. Install the screw and clip.



4. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (except Double Swing Out Type Back Door)


  1. for Type A:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Attach the 11 claws and guide to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly RH.



      2. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    2. Install the screw and clip.



  1. for Type B:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Attach the 7 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly RH.



      2. Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    2. Install the screw and clip.



5. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)


  1. for Type A:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Attach the 4 claws and 3 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



  1. for Type B:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



6. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH CUSHION (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)


  1. for Type A:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Attach the 4 claws and 3 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



  1. for Type B:



      Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

    1. Attach the 7 claws to install the panel No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



7. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for Double Swing Out Type Back Door)

  1. Attach the 7 claws and 4 clips to install the front door scuff plate LH.



8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (except Double Swing Out Type Back Door)
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.


9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).


10. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Check the SRS warning light (Click here).
