  1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

  2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  6. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION

  8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

Knee Airbag Assembly (For Driver Side) -- Installation


HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RHD and LHD.
  2. The procedures listed below are the LHD side.


1. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200.Supplemental Restraint Systems.Airbag System.Knee Airbag Assembly (For Driver Side) Installation

  1. Connect the connector.

    NOTICE:
    When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  1. Install the driver side knee airbag with the 5 bolts.

    Torque:
    10 N*m{102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf}


2. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

  1. Connect the connectors.



    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. for Automatic Air Conditioning System:

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the room temperature sensor.



    Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Attach the 2 claws to connect the 2 control cables.



  1. w/ Driver Side Knee Airbag:

    1. Attach the 16 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.



    2. Install the 2 bolts.

  1. w/o Driver Side Knee Airbag:

    1. Attach the 9 claws to install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel.



    2. Install the 2 bolts.

  1. Attach the 2 claws to close the hole cover.



3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Floor Under Cover)

  1. Connect the connectors.

  1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover.

  1. Install the 2 screws.



4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH


  1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

5. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

  1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.



6. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Connect the connectors and attach the 2 clamps.

  1. Attach the 8 claws to install the lower instrument panel pad sub-assembly.

  1. Install the clip and screw.



7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL CUSHION


Land Cruiser. Urj200, 202 Grj200 Vdj200

  1. Attach the 7 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel finish panel cushion.



8. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).


9. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

  1. Check the SRS warning light (Click here).
