DTC B1677/85 Rear Floor Airbag Sensor RH Initialization Incomplete

DESCRIPTION

HINT:
"Rear floor airbag sensor RH" refer to the rear floor airbag sensor.
  1. The rear floor airbag sensor circuit consists of the center airbag sensor and rear floor airbag sensor.
The rear floor airbag sensor detects impacts to the vehicle and sends signals to the center airbag sensor to determine if the airbag should be deployed.
DTC B1676/85 or B1677/85 is stored when a malfunction is detected in the rear floor airbag sensor circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).
  2. When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).
1.CHECK CONNECTION OF CONNECTORS
  1. Turn the ignition switch off.

  1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait for at least 90 seconds.

  1. Check that the connectors are properly connected to the center airbag sensor and the rear floor airbag sensor.

    OK:
    The connectors are properly connected.

NG
