DTC B1242 Wireless Door Lock Tuner Circuit Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The door control receiver receives signals from the transmitter and sends these signals to the main body ECU. This DTC is stored when the applicable RDA signal cannot be received within 1 second of the PRG signal being output from the main body ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
  1. Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.
  2. When replacing the door control receiver, refer to the registration procedures (Click here).

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    DTC B1242 is not output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

3.CHECK DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER (DOOR CONTROL RECEIVER - MAIN BODY ECU)

  1. Disconnect the L47 receiver connector.

  1. Disconnect the E118 main body ECU connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Condition
    		Specified Condition
    L47-2 (RDA) - E118-4 (RDA)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    L47-3 (PRG) - E118-5 (PRG)
    		Always
    		Below 1 Ω
    L47-2 (RDA) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher
    L47-3 (PRG) - Body ground
    		Always
    		10 kΩ or higher

  1. Disconnect the L47 receiver connector.

  1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Resistance:
    Tester Connection

    L47-1 (GND) - Body ground

    		Below 1 Ω

  1. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

    Standard Voltage:
    Tester Connection

    L47-5 (+B) - Body ground

    		11 to 14 V
