INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)

CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (DCB+, DGND)

CHECK SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (DCV+, DGND OR SCV+. SGND)

REPLACE SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

CHECK FOR DTC

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

1. When "System initializing" is displayed on the parking assist ECU after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point (Click here).
   
2. Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the side monitor system may be needed (Click here).
   

1. Disconnect the F75 and F76 parking assist ECU connectors.
   

2. Disconnect the I35*1 or I32*2 outer rear view mirror assembly (for Driver Side) connector.
   

   1. *1: for LHD
      
   2. *2: for RHD
      

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   
   

   Standard Resistance:

   for LHD:

1. Reconnect the F75 and F76 parking assist ECU connectors.
   

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Resistance:

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

   F76-28 (DCB+) - F76-29 (DGND)	Engine switch on (IG), front and side monitor main switch assembly on	5.5 to 7.05 V

1. Reconnect the I35*1 or I32*2 outer rear view mirror assembly (for Front Passenger Side) connector.
   

   1. *1: for LHD

   HINT:

   1. A waterproof connector is used for the side television camera assembly (for Driver Side). Therefore, inspect the waveform at the parking assist ECU with the connector connected.
      
   2. The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the side television camera assembly (for Driver Side).
      

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   OK:

   Waveform is as shown in the illustration.

1. Replace the side television camera assembly (for Driver Side) with a new or normally functioning one (Click here).
   

1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).
   

2. Check for DTCs (Click here).
   

   OK:

   DTC C1686 or C1687 is not output.
