CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING ASSIST ECU - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY AND BODY GROUND)

CHECK PARKING ASSIST ECU (SCB+, SGND)

CHECK SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (SCV+, SGND OR DCV+, DGND)

REPLACE SIDE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY

CHECK FOR DTC

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:

1. When "System initializing" is displayed on the parking assist ECU after the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal, correct the steering angle neutral point (Click here).
   
2. Depending on the parts that are replaced or operations that are performed during vehicle inspection or maintenance, calibration of other systems as well as the side monitor system may be needed (Click here).
   

1. Disconnect the F75 and F76 parking assist ECU connectors.
   

2. Disconnect the I32*1 or I35*2 outer rear view mirror assembly (for Front Passenger Side) connector.
   

   1. *1: for LHD
      
   2. *2: for RHD
      

3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   
   

   Standard Resistance:

   for LHD:

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   Standard Voltage:

1. Reconnect the I32*1 or I35*2 outer rear view mirror assembly (for Front Passenger Side) connector.

   HINT:

   1. A waterproof connector is used for the side television camera assembly (for Front Passenger Side). Therefore, inspect the waveform at the parking assist ECU with the connector connected.
      
   2. The video waveform changes according to the image sent by the side television camera assembly (for Front Passenger Side).
      

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
   

   OK:

   Waveform is as shown in the illustration.

1. Replace the side television camera assembly (for Front Passenger Side) with a new or normally functioning one (Click here).
   

1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).
   

2. Check for DTCs (Click here).
   

   OK:

   DTC C1683 or C1684 is not output.
