DTC C1AE8 Rear Right Center Sensor Malfunction


DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) is installed on the rear bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
If the DTC is output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and move the shift lever to R. Then clear the DTC.
1.CHECK FOR DTC

  1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

  1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

    OK:
    DTC C1AE8 is not output.

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK (Click here)

2.REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (RRC SENSOR)

  1. Replace the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) with a normally functioning one (Click here).
